The Thomas Jefferson Foundation seeks a culinary professional to manage our updated cafe business. This position is responsible for the management of our 7 day-a-week operation, including hiring and scheduling FOH staff, strategic planning, and budgetary oversight to ensure the financial success of this enterprise. The manager will collaborate with our executive chef to plan seasonal menus and coordinate with Monticello gardeners to incorporate our seasonal produce. In addition to serving individual patrons, the manager will also cultivate a catering business for Foundation related events. Successful candidates will understand food industry standards, POS systems, and enjoy championing sustainability and the local food movement. Work schedule is typically Sun-Thurs, daytime hours. Organized, self-motivated leaders with 3+ years of progressive responsibility in the food industry. Position is open until filled.
