The Thomas Jefferson Foundation seeks a full-time Event Planner.  Reporting to the Director of Events, this hands-on position coordinates internal and external Monticello events and is responsible for logistical planning, staffing coordination, client relations, and impeccable communication (both written and oral) with foundation departments to ensure successful events. This position works closely with our Development Office, interacting with high-level donors and will arrange details of all events consistent with Monticello's standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with three to five years of progressively responsible professional experience in event, meeting and/or conference planning is required. The successful candidate will be an energetic self-starter with an unwavering positive attitude. Strong attention to detail and flawless organizational skills are crucial for success. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook is re­quired and experience working with event scheduling software is desired. Must have the proven ability to work and maintain a professional demeanor in an ever-changing and high-stress environment. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be available to work non-traditional shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Position is open until filled.
